CHS NTX EC Policy - Jul. 2000

The NTX EC for navigational use has been withdrawn, date for this notice is 29-Sep-2000.

Where S-57 ENC data exists, the CHS will make available via NDI (the official supplier of Digital Hydrographic Data Products) NTX files for the purpose of creating an NTX based product on a per request basis. At NO time will the CHS be required to support the NTX data at this product level, nor will the CHS be required to support any QC or Updating of the derived NTX product.

Where S-57 ENC data does NOT exist, the CHS will make available via NDI, NTX files in whatever DCFS format the file exists in on a per request basis.

The CHS will NOT support any DCFS level reversal process for NTX ECs, for ex.: from DCFS 3.0 to DCFS 2.1.
