CHS is recommended to be certified to ISO9001:2008

The Canadian Hydrographic Service operates a Quality Management System certified ISO9001:2000 to ensure the provision of hydrographic information necessary to ensure safe and efficient navigation in Canadian waters while increasing knowledge of these waters for scientific research, security and sovereignty. These services are provided in a cost-effective, efficient and responsible manner.

Over the past three weeks, SGS Inc. audited the CHS Quality Management System in relation to the newest Standard ISO9001:2008. At the end of the audit, on December 3, 2009, SGS Inc. recommended CHS to be certified to ISO9001:2008.
